Both Whistler and Blackcomb mountains have areas delegated just for kids enjoyment. Whistler has the Children's Learning Centre, an area especially designed to help children quickly learn the fundamentals of snowboarding, while also keeping them safe. Then there is the 'Treefort', an adventure zone built to break up the day, with its focus on having fun, not just riding. For children more advanced, there is the Chipmunk Terrain Park, where kids can learn how to perform jumps and tricks.
The Magic Castle on Blackcomb mountain is a huge area where most children can quite happily spend their whole day. It consists of a maze of groomed trails (including a bridge you can ride under or over), for them to explore at their leisure. As the name suggests, the Magic Castle has a castle, where the children can play all sorts of games. Like on Whistler, Blackcomb also has an beginner terrain park called the Big Easy Terrain Garden, where children and adults can both learn the basics of jumping and executing tricks.
Both mountains also have a few zones, cordoned off, to keep beginners (whether children or adults) safe and in a controlled enviroment.
